Hans Innemée studied in Tilburg at the Academy for Visual Education. Innemée works in a very recognizable style, because he depicts animals and people in an unique stylistic way. In particular, the chicken, depicted as a circle with a diagonal beak and recognizable rake feet, can often be found in his work. The following animals: a mouse, a sheep and a cat can also often be distinguished in his work. For his artworks Innemée uses a self-developed technique. This technique includes multiple steps. First he makes his drawings on tissue paper, which are then pasted on handmade Thai paper. Then he glues them onto wooden panels and after that, he uses oil pastels to add colours. Self-irony is an repetitive element found in his works: “In my work I target myself and my fellow man. It is often the most silly situations that can move me deeply. Big front-page-scoring events usually go way over my head. I like to tell about my experiences and what touches me.”

In short, Innemée creates unique, stylistic works with a humorous edge.
