“My work should touch you like a crush!” says Beatrix Frederiks. She mainly paints Flora and Fauna, which includes tulip paintings and funny ostriches. Before Frederiks started working as a professional artist, she followed various courses. This includes a 3-year drawing/art history course and a 2-year free expression course at the Gooische Academy in Laren. But also a ceramics/modelling course of several years in Bussum and later in Naarden.

As a result, she became familiar with various materials, including oil paint, pastel, watercolor, acrylic and clay. She has also exhibited 7 large paintings in the theme of tulips in the world exhibition Expo2005 in Aichi/Japan.

Frederiks describes her paintings as: “a feast for the eyes and a beautiful object on your wall”.
