Ans van Dijk, daughter of Adriaan de Brie, completed the painting-education at the art academy in s' Hertogenbosch. Later she followed watercolor and printmaking courses in Florence and Antwerp. In the period from 1989 to 1997 Ans worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and she was also a teacher in watercolor techniques. From 1997 she became a full-time professional artist. Her work contains influences from Western European Dadaism and Northwest European Cobra. With her primary view, she creates beautiful coloured pieces.
